This painting explores different elements of the land found around Broken Hill and Menindee (including rocks, shrubs, the river, flowers, hills etc). I wanted to capture how I feel when I'm back in Broken Hill, whilst also giving myself the reminder of needing space to breathe and soak everything in. The space around the outside of this painting is a reminder to tread lightly and to always create space for myself to breathe and be the best version of me I can.
